April 29 through May 2, 2010!  Those dates are quickly approaching!

The actual assembly will be April 30 through May 2.  There will be much going on!

If you’d like to see the schedule, and get an idea of workshops and classes to be held, go to new.gbgm-umc.org/umw/assembly. This link will open up to a page full of helpful information.  To the right will be a long list with the heading, “Assembly”.  It’s got links of all kinds of helpful information.

Need to register?  Curious about classes? Want more information on Pre-Conference Events? It’s all there.

The Pre-Conference Events include the Ubuntu Day of Service on Thursday, April 29, and is designed to celebrate mission as relational. Field Trips offer opportunities to experience how communities are impacted by persons and systems and how people are making a difference. For $50, the Day of Service includes a day of service to the community, bus transportation to and from field trip sites and service options at the America’s Center, lunch and an Ubuntu Day t-shirt.  The warmth in your heart from serving others is free! There are many service options available for that day.  Go to the site; there’s a wealth of information there!

The Assembly itself will start on April 30th.  They’ve announced the headliners - Lila Downs, CeCe Winans, broadcast journalist Judy Woodruff, Africa’s first female prelate, Bishop Joaquina Nhanala of Mozambique. It promises to be a great time for all!

Be sure to register! You don’t have to pay by credit card to register on line.

God Bless Us..
